We will be having our 34th annual Fort Richardson State Park for Texas State Parks on the Air Weekend (TSPOA), camping trip from April 15 to 18. Reservations begin on Sunday, Nov 15 at 8am to reserve your spot if you plan to camp starting on April 15. https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/fort-richardson-state-park-hist-site-andtrailway/r/facilityDetails.do?contractCode=TX&parkId=1200098 We are going to be staying in the cabins. If you have an RV or tent, you can use them in the cabin area. Texas State Parks allows you to reserve a spot to camp 5 months in advance at 8 am in the morning. If you just want to come out for the day, you can reserve a day pass 30 days before at a cost of $4. If you are not able to make it out to Fort Richarson, we can try to make a QSO with you at your shack. If you would like to join us, but don't have a tent or trailer, there should be cabin space for you to camp in if you would like to, however, you will have to bring your own sheets or sleeping bag and pillow. I will try to reserve cabin #8 for me and I plan to arrive in the afternoon on April 15 and stay until April 18. TSPOA is held on April 16 at 7pm until April 18 at 6:59pm. If you do not want to camp, you can come out on Saturday April 18 and participate in the event. Fort Richardson State Park is located in Jacksboro Texas which is about a 1.5 hour drive NW from Euless. If you have never been to Fort Richardson State Park, it is worth the drive and has some historic buildings from Texas' history. All are welcome to come hang out with us.
